Abdolhossein N. Hamidi

Dr. Abdolhossein Navid Hamidi, age 96, passed away on November 21, 2021 in Rockville, Maryland. He was born on November 1,1925 in Mashhad, Iran. He completed his doctorate of veterinary medicine at University of Tehran, Iran; followed by post doctorate education at University of Liverpool, England. Dr. Hamidi was an accomplished scientist, medical school professor who specialized in parasitology. He traveled the world, was published author of research studies which helped develop vaccines for disease prevention. He was a devoted husband to his wife Mrs. Mehrtous; loving father to his two sons and their spouses, Vahid and Tiffany of Arizona, Farid and Melissa of Pennsylvania; daughter and spouse, Farnaz and Habib of Maryland. His adoring grand-daughters, Mindy, Emily, Lexi, Roya, Jasmine, Parissa, Alyssa and Sophie. Dr. Hamidi will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and most of all for his great sense of humor. He kept us laughing all the time. He will be missed more than words can express. A memorial service is held on Friday November, 26, 2021 at 1 pm at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Virgina. Friends and family are invited to gather back at the Funeral Home for late Lunch following the 2 pm burial. Thank you for coming and celebrating his life.
