On January 19,2013 in Alexandria, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Ella Formando; two daughters, Sandra L. Delaney and Evelyn M. Groves; one son, Albert M. Fomando, Jr.; four stepchildren; one sister, Lillian Dippia; and one brother, Rudolph Ragan Formando. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren, and 18 step great-grandchildren. A celebration of Albert's life will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home, 811 Cameron Street, Alexandria, VA. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 26 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Lane Alexandria, VA. Interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
