Mrs. Athena Joannou, 63, of Vienna, VA, passed away March 3, 2010. She was born in Salonica, Greece the daughter of Emmanuel and Evangela (Hadjiouannou) Kalafatis. Mrs. Joannou is survived by her husband John, of Vienna, VA, Three sons, Alex of Reston, VA, Chris of Vienna, VA, Philip of Chantilly, VA, One brother, Takis Kalafatis of Fairfax, VA, One sister, Lena Karagiannis of Thessaloniki, Greece, and Two grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday March 8, at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA. Family will receive friends Sunday March 7, from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church. Interment at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Rd., Fairfax, VA. Arrangements under the direction of National Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA.
