I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Ettleman's passing. I was a friend of his son Ken and still miss him after all the years.

A pioneer and a gentleman.  Ben always tried the newest technology and graciously shared his experience with the rest of the industry.  Ben taught me many things, but most importantly how to be gracious and kind.

The ebb and flow of feelings and memories of Mr. Ben are sure to continue for some time as he was such a big part of many of our lives. The lessons were many and many benefited from such a mentor. Ben such a steadfast and faithful friend.

Mr Ettleman was a great supporter of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department's training program for many years. Our personnel are better equiped to handle emergencies becasue of his support.

Ben was always very nice to me, often going out of his way to say hello, ask how I was doing.  I will miss seeing him at the various industry meetings, watching him "hold court" with friends and associates.  Those meetings will not be the same without him.

Ben was a friend for many years. He will be missed by many. My condolences to the entire Ettleman family.

I share in the sorrow of Ben's death. I will miss Ben's smile. I will miss Ben's phone calls, "talk to me." Ben was always compassionate and generous. I am lucky to have known Ben. I will miss Ben.

Everyone should know a man as nice as Ben. i will miss him very much.

I will never forget Ben.   He was always loving and kind to me as if I were related to him - often bringing me lovely gifts back from exotic places he and Evelyn had visited.    I will remember his beautifully said "words" at Bill's and my wedding as he "gave Bill away" to me.   He had a great sense of humor and loved music-- I remember singing at his birthday party and how his face lit up as I sang directly to him.  I know that my husband held a place in his heart for Ben as if he were his own father...  

He will be missed but I know that he is in heaven eating crabs, talking on the phone, feeling great and buzzing around telling stories with those who have left before us.

Ben's condominium in North Bethesda has lost a truly wonderful person.  He will be fondly remembered and truly missed by all who knew him.  Every community needs a Ben Ettleman.

Ben has aways been a gentleman and a friend.  I have appreciated his advice and warmth and I will miss him greatly. May his memory live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Ben was a great friend to me and to Prince Wiliam County Solid Waste.  We will miss you greatly.
