Betty Schuman on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, of Silver Spring. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Schuman; devoted mother of Richard (Barbara) Schuman and Judith (Edward) Friedman; grandmother of Natalie (Tom) McDowell and Gabrielle Friedman, Joshua (Libby), Jonah (Kate); Marilyn (Danny) Norris mother of Joshua and Jonah; great grandmother of Ashley, Austin, Donavon, Quinn and Liam. She was also survived by her companion Jake Schiffman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Interfaith Chapel, 3680 South Leisure World Blvd, Silver Spring, MD 20906 at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church. The family will be observing Shiva at her late residence on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services entrusted to Edward Sagel Funeral Direction.
