

Carol Drager passed away on August 16 at the age of 83. Carol was born in Wisconsin to Arno and Carolyn May, graduated from the University of Wisconsin, married Dr. John Drager, worked as an elementary school teacher, and raised two children. She enjoyed the adventures of living all over the country, including many years in The Last Frontier. Carol was an active member of Anchorage Lutheran Church, and she dedicated many years to the church's Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), having served as the LWML state president. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and Carol hosted numerous Christmas parties and lovingly made hundreds of customized teddy bear ornaments for her family and friends. She was beloved by her family and is survived by her husband: John Drager; her brother: Bob (Barb) May; her children: Christine (Tim) Kurth and Phil (Kjersten) Drager; grandchildren: Stella, Iris, Canon and Christian, as well as extended relatives. Her Funeral service will be on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 7426 Idylwood Road, Falls Church, VA . A visitation reception will immediately follow the service.
