
He graduated from Tamkang University in 1979, majoring in Electronic Engineering. He worked at the Zhong Shan Science Research Center for two years. He came to the United States and earned his Master degree from George Washington University.
Dah-Wei and Chiung-Shien (Elaine) were married in 1983.
Shortly after graduating from GWU, Dah-Wei started a computer services company with his friends. Within a few years, he branched out and started his own computer services company.
Dah-Wei inherited his father’s love of plants, especially orchids. He also liked to sing and enjoyed good music.
He was always nice and easy to get along with. He liked to make friends and help others. He was very well-liked, and Dah-Wei will be missed by his family and friends.
Dah-Wei is survived by his father, Pei Yu; mother, Kuan-Jung Yu; wife, Elaine Chiung-Shien Yu; brother, Steve Dah-Cheng Yu; sister, Frances Roh-Chi Henry; brother-in-law, Douglas Henry; nieces: Amy Yu, Tiffany Henry, Elizabeth Yu, Rebecca Henry, Hannah Henry; and nephews: Matthew Henry, Johnny Yu. He is also predeceased by his elder brother, Jen Yu.
He passed away on November 27, 2011 of liver cancer.
