Davina “Davie” Einbinder Alexander, age 91, loving mother, wife and friend, died peacefully in her sleep on April 4, 2026. She was born in Washington, DC, on March 1, 1935, to Melanie and Charles Einbinder, married her lifetime love and partner, Joseph Alexander, on June 10, 1956, and began a wonderful, adventure-filled life, complete with two daughters, Cathy Stevens (Ed) and Cheri Roth (Rich) and one cherished granddaughter, Stephanie Roth, who survive her.
Davie lived a long and happy life, filled with amazing trips, epic bridge game gatherings and friends literally all over the world. She will be remembered for her love, her caring nature, her sweet and thoughtful little gifts and of course her passion for Barry Manilow, knick-knacks and absolutely anything and everything elephant.
She is happily watching over us now, finally reunited with Joe, her mother Melanie (Boo Boo) and her father Charles (Hat). Davie wouldn’t want tears or sorrow with her passing – or flowers, please, she really did not like cut flower arrangements. She would want us all to raise a glass of wine, eat some chocolate and play Barry Manilow in her honor. Please do so for her.
A private family graveside service will be held at National Memorial Park-King David. The family requests no flowers, please.
