Donald Ralph Lumsden, 80, of The Villages, Florida passed away September 7, 2013 at The Villages Regional Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1932 in Washington D.C. Mr. Lumsden was a retired electrician, IBEW Local 26, Washington, D.C. Donald and his wife Ann moved to The Villages thirteen years ago from Vienna, VA.
Don was a past member of the Wesley Methodist Church, Vienna, VA; Free and Accepted Masons in Washington, D.C.
Donald is survived by his wife, Ann Lumsden, The Villages, FL; son, Ralph (Teri) Lumsden, Herndon, VA; daughter, Jeannette Purks, St. Augustine, FL; two brothers, Robert (Val) and Ernest, both of VA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George Lumsden and sister, Lanita Marhsall.
A viewing will be held Thursday September 19, 2013 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday September 20, 2013 at 11:00 am. All services to be held at National Funeral Home 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA 22042. Interment will be at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
