Felice was born in Philadelphia, PA. When she was a young girl, her family moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended school and graduated from Coolidge High. While on a date on New Year’s Eve, 1957, she was introduced to Erwin Pearl, the man who would become her husband. They married in November 1958 and were together until his death in December 1989.
Felice worked as a secretary for the Army at Arlington Hall Station until the birth of her first child, Debra. With the desire for a larger family, the couple moved to a single family home in Alexandria, Virginia. A few years after they settled in to their new home their second child, Robyn, was born. Felice was a dedicated, full time mom and managed their lovely home. When her children were young teens she ventured back into the workforce, first teleworking for a local IT company, way before teleworking was cool, and then outside of their home, back to providing support to the Army as a secretary for the Military Personnel Center at the Hoffman Buildings in Alexandria, Virginia.
She remained dedicated to the Army’s mission until she retired in 2000. Upon retirement, Felice and her travel buddies hit the open road. They traveled by car, by plane and by cruise ship (her favorite!) throughout the U.S. and beyond. In 2001 Felice’s loving heart and family grew when she welcomed her granddaughter, Sophie. Her heart and love grew even bigger, in 2003, when she welcomed her grandson, Ethan. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life and they knew that in their Gabby’s eyes, they could do no wrong.
Felice was an active member of the Woodbridge, Virginia chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association. She was very proud to be involved in raising funds for research and a cure to end Alzheimer’s. Her creative and successful efforts raised more than $20K for the local chapter.
Felice is survived by her daughters Debra Stryker and Robyn (Tim) Weber, her grandchildren Sophie and Ethan Weber and her brother Marvin (Sandra) Address.
A Graveside Service will be held in King David Memorial Gardens on Sunday, November 15th at 12 Noon. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at National Funeral Home at 11:30 am before proceeding to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
