Frederick G Strohl Jr.

Fred was born in Abington, PA to Frederick & Frances Strohl on March 26th, 1946. He attended and graduated from Falls Church High. He married Carolyn on January 1st, 2012, in Punta Gorda, FL. He graduated from University of Md.

He worked as an intelligence analyst for the U S Government for 37 years and then worked as a private contractor for defense agencies for another 20 years. He was a veteran of Viet Nam and served in the Navy in intelligence at the Pentagon.

He and his wife founded the Peace River Corvette Club in Punta Gorda, FL. He was the President of the club until 2018. Fred was also a boater for most of his life and spent many years in marinas on the Chesapeake Bay

Fred is preceded in death by his mother, father, son, grandmother and step brothers.

Fred is survived by; Wife Carolyn, Stepson Douglas Phillips Sr., Step Grandson Douglas Phillips Jr & Natalia, Step Grandson Corey Phillips & Veronica and Great-Granddaughter Sophia and future Great Grandson Cameron, and Half-Sisters Lynne Peterson and Sally Moore.

The family of Fred wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Casey Flanagan, Dr. Benham Tehrani, Dr. Michael Foster, all the wonderful nurses and assistants in the Cardiac ICU at Fairfax Hospital, Dr. Matthew Scripps his primary care doctor and Dr. William Hartzell his pulmonary doctor.

A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family and further information will be sent out in the future
