GEORGE J LENCHES

Our wonderful George sadly passed away on April 7, 2015. George was 69 years young.

Our George had a difficult life, with many challenges, including a difficult childhood, a chronic illness, the most tragic loss of his beautiful daughter, Lisa, who died in 1998 at the age of 19, and debilitating spinal problems toward the end of his life.

George bore all of these challenges with the greatest of grace and humility. He was the most pure, honest and caring person any of us have ever met. He was astonishingly and uniquely intelligent. He spoke many languages, was knowledgeable and curious about everything, and deeply loved and was devoted to everyone in his life. He had an enduring patience and strength, even in the face of enormous obstacles. Sadly he was not always aware of the grace and wonderfulness that he brought to others, nor was he always aware of the deep love and respect that everyone had for him.

He was deeply loved and cared for by his wonderful wife Elsa, whose commitment and love for George was unremitting and astonishing, even in the face of enormous obstacles. He was also deeply loved and admired by his sister, Maria, his niece, Claire, his mother, Maria, his brother in law, Alex, and all of his family and friends.

We would like to honor and celebrate this wonderful man, George J. Lenches. We know that he is finally at peace, without pain, without anxiety, without suffering, reunited with his beloved daughter, Lisa, his dad George and he is joyfully in the hands of a compassionate, wonderful God.
