Grover Vernon Reynolds

Grover Vernon Reynolds, 93, died August 27, 2010 at Fairfax Nursing Center. He survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Clara Morris Reynolds. She was a loving, wholly devoted wife. He is also survived by his children Charles V. (Judy), G. Stephen (Pam), Michael L. (Sandy), Virginia Lynn Stigers, Bill Morris (Sandy), Debbie M. Caudill (Ken) and his sister –in-law, Dorothy Vaughan Sink. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Hilda V. Reynolds. He was an adored grandfather to 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Vernon was born in Roanoke, VA and moved to Falls Church VA, to work as lead mechanic for capital and United Airlines at Washington National Airport for 36 years. He was also an expert auto mechanic. He was a Deacon Emeritus at National Gardens Baptist Church. He loved watching Washington Redskins Football. Viewing will be Monday August 30, 2010 6-9 P.M. Funeral Services will be Tuesday August 31, 2010 11:00 A.M. at National Funeral Home 7482 Lee Highway Falls Church, VA 22042. Christian burial will follow at National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The United Baptist Church 7100 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003 or to a charity of choice.Arrangements under the direction of National Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA.
