Isabel was born in Washington, D.C. on May 14, 1937, to the late Robert and Bessie Greenfield.
Isabel is survived by her four children; Abbe Lynn Engman, Michele Smith, Robert Alan Buchanan and Helaine Ruth de Tomasi. Her grandchildren; Ronda Wilburn, Brandie Lee, Francis Jones III, and Marie de Tomasi. She also has six great-grandchildren, Lucas Wilburn, Ryland Lee, Logan Wilburn, Ian Lee, Levi Jones, Braydon Jones.
Isabel is predeceased by her brother, Richard Greenfield. She is survived by her two sisters and one brother, Corinne Stein, Elaine Hough, and Samuel Greenfield, her brother-in-law Jay Hough, and sister-in-law Barbara Singer.
Isabel worked for United Airlines for more than 35 years in reservations. She and her husband, the late James David Buchanan, moved to The Villages in Florida for their dream retirement. She was a volunteer for Hospice for more than 20 years and enjoyed her weekly clubs and get-togethers with friends and neighbors.
Services will be held at Dignity Memorial National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
