

He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on April 11, 1931 to the late John Mark Sullivan, Sr. and Mary Margaret Sullivan. He was married to Anna G. Sullivan on June 28, 1952.
Mark served two years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War followed by a career as a sheet metal draftsman later retiring from Pierce Associates. He was a lifetime member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union #100. Mark was a member of Train Collectors Association for many years and had a passion for collecting and restoring Lionel Trains.
He is preceded in death by his aunt Agnes Mary Gallen and sister, Marianne Sullivan Bright and husband Jack.
He is survived by his wife Anna G. Sullivan, daughters, Patricia Ann Finein, Susan Peyton, Jeanne Churchwell (George), Kathleen Sullivan, Cecilia Holman (Rodger), Marianne Loan (Bill); 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church with interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
