Judy Florence

Judy Harris Florence, age 78 of Knollwood Drive, Forest City, North Carolina died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her residence. She was born November 1, 1935 in Rutherford County, NC and was a daughter of the late James L. and Lydia Hill Harris. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and a member of Florence Baptist Church. She worked as a Dental Receptionist and was a homemaker. Judy was a longtime resident of Northern Virginia and in retirement, she and her late husband returned to Forest City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Wilson" Willie" Florence, Jr., a son, Brian Florence, and four brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Chip Florence, Mark Florence and wife Lynn, all of Warrenton, VA, and Mike Florence and wife Barbara of Lorton, VA; a brother, Don Harris and wife Betty of Rutherfordton, NC, sisters, Ginny Sumler of Fredericksburg,VA and Beth Harmon and husband James of Forest City, NC; eleven grandchildren, Brandi, Brett, Bre, Brock, Jay, Alex, Mason, Jackie, Erin, Hunter, and Gabriel; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Richard, Savanah, and Llyod.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at two o'clock in the Chapel of National Funeral Home in Falls Church, Virginia with burial to follow in National Cemetery.
