Formerly of Lumberton, NC , born on Nov. 26, 1958, preceeded in death by her Father Maurice E Britt, Mother Shirley B Britt and Brother Jeffrey O Britt , maternal grandparents H.O. Barnes and Cleon Fields Barnes and Paternal grandparents Albert Jerald Britt and Frances Britt. She was a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate. She went on to receive her masters in journalism and worked several positions through the years to include being the editor of a large insurance magazine in Maryland as well as teaching at The George Mason University in Virginia.
She is survived my her sister, Belinda B Locklear (Patrick) of Lumberton, two very special nieces , Ashley N Holmes and Makaila Locklear Wright (Jacob) of Lumberton and one great nephew Jaxton Oliver Holmes and one great niece Amelia Ruth Locklear Wright of Lumberton. She was loved greatly by her family and showed love to all who were in her presence. A private memorial will be held with the family.
