

Ken was born to the late Morris and Bertha Michlovitz on July 31, 1942, in Baltimore, MD. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Park High school and the University of Maryland. He married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy “Dottie” Solloway on September 15, 1963.
Ken started his career at NASA and later worked for several information technology service companies before retiring from Cordant as Chief Operations Officer. He was admired and respected by his colleagues and helped to shape and grow them to their full potential.
He was an avid golfer and traveler and loved the beach. He spent many years traveling and enjoying life with Dottie. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. While not being religious, he taught his family right from wrong and how to treat others. He was loved by all and always found a way to make others smile. He had hundreds of friends that meant the world to him. At special events, he could be found on the dance floor enjoying his signature dance moves. He was also dedicated to his community. He was deeply involved in Reston Interfaith, leading and organizing charity events, as well as serving on committees for his homeowner’s association.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dottie; children, Mark Michlovitz (Krista) and Anita Michlovitz (Eric Plummer); grandchildren Jeffrey Michlovitz (Sarah), Heather Ezzell, and Kyle Hyatt; and his great grandchildren, Reagan and Ensley Michlovitz.
Kenneth Michlovitz will be laid to rest in King David Memorial Gardens 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. The family will hold a private graveside service on Sunday, June, 22, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choosing in Ken’s name.
