She was born in Arlington, Virginia and was the daughter of Robert M. and Joyce L. (Young) Reynolds of Falls Church, who both preceded her in death. She worked at several temporary jobs in her early life, followed by a 37-year career with the Department of Defense, most recently at the National Geospacial-Intelligence Agency, where she retired in 2012. She enjoyed delving into her family’s genealogical history, making trips to Walt Disney World with her sister and creating beautiful crocheted blankets. Laura is survived by brother Robert E. Reynolds of Falls Church, VA, sister Deborah L. O’Donoghue of Springfield, VA and nephews Sean C. O’Donoghue of Springfield, VA and Brian P. O’Donoghue of Washington, DC.
A memorial service will be planned for later. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association.
