I  went to Valley Forge High School with Linda and send my deep condolences to her family . She was one of the prettiest  most
talented and nicest persons I have ever known.   
She will never be forgotten.    She was always in my homeroom because her last name began with a Z and mine began with a Y.
At all our Valley Forge football games I would enjoy watching her cheer and cheer along with her.

My husband, Tom Finnie, has read this shocking news of Linda’s untimely passing in November just now on Christmas Day. Though he and I had not shared in-person time with Linda in recent years, his precious memories of his favorite cousin, whom he affectionately called Suzie, will always remain just that…precious and now, too few. Our hearts ache for Steve, their children and grands who will forever miss her kindnesses and sweet smiles. Tom right now is speechless so I write this in his behalf with tears blocking my view.
Such a tragic and senseless loss for those that loved her. Hold tight to your wonderful memories of happy times and may they give you all comfort in the difficult days ahead.

Mrs. Dubansky was the school nurse when I attended Mott Road many years ago. Though it has been decades, I still have vivid memories of going to the nurse’s office when feeling sick or when it was time for the annual eyes and ears test or scoliosis check. In fact, she discovered my twin sister’s scoliosis, which would later require surgery. 

Mrs. Dubansky was so warm, kind, and welcoming that I developed the benign habit of faking headaches just to get out of class and lay down on the soft cot in her office.  Though I’m sure she saw right through my acting, she never chastised me or turned me away. During one of these episodes, I remember sitting next to a young boy with a stomach bug who, every few minutes, had to hurl into a trash can. Mrs. Dubansky would immediately check on him and give him water, and surely did so until his parents were able to pick him up.

As a teacher now, I understand how important it is to have school nurses like Mrs. Dubansky.  After all, in order to learn, students must be first and foremost be healthy. I’m so sorry for her sudden and surprising loss, but I know she will live on in the memories of the many people she positively impacted during her life.

Beyond sadness, feeling your families’ devastation and frustration at the loss of Linda’s beautiful presence.  She was PURE goodness, kindness, and loveliness.  Our friendship started in high school in Parma, Ohio (1965, cheerleading).  Her very special spirit will remain in my heart, cherishing her forever.

We moved to FM when our 3 girls were little.  Linda was one of the first faces we met at Mott Road and she made a lasting impression on both myself and our children.  She would go above and beyond to make sure students were well taken care of and to know they were loved.  I am so saddened to hear of her passing.   She touched so many lives and that will be a part of her legacy.  May the love you have for her, and the memories you share help you through this sad time.  Hugs, love, light and positivity to you all.

We were heartbroken to hear of LInda's untimely passing.  Linda and Steve were  wonderful mentors to Neil and I  on all things family-sharing their wisdom and guidance with us as neighbors and friends as we raised our 4 children.  We will always cherish our fond memories on Dabney Lane  and keep Linda's memory alive through acts of kindness and selflessness.  The service, while heartwrenching was a beautiful tribute to Linda.

My now-grown children were blessed to have Linda as their school nurse. She was so caring and compassionate to them. I used to joke that our one son loved her so much that he needed a card with a hole to punch for each visit. She was so well-loved.

It’s impossible to find the words to express our sorrow at the loss of such an amazing woman who meant so very much to you all. We know this loss is profound. We send our deepest condolences during this impossible time. Her legacy will live on in the eyes of those kids. Look closely and you will see her there

Linda Dubansky was physically small yet mighty. She loved deeply and was treasured by those who knew her. Linda was a nurse, an intelligent and caring healer, and a teacher to many. She used her words carefully and thoughtfully leaving a legacy of wisdom, strength, and love. Linda was fiercely loyal to her family, lived for their company, savoring moments that didn’t last. She brought her family together and through them her memory with live on. She will be greatly missed.

Ralph Waldo Emerson captured the essence of Linda with the following quote-

“To laugh often and much: To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.”

Linda lived life well. She left this world a better place. May her memory be a blessing always. Our thoughts and prayers are with Molly, Andy, Noah, Zoe, Brooks, Steve, Becca, Hanna, Josh, and the entire Dubansky family.

I’m so so sorry to hear of Linda passing folks, and in such a shocking way.  All my love to you.  I remember her as just the kindest sweetest mother and it’s just such a big loss.

Gail and I remember Linda with a great amount of love. She was always a ray of sunshine with the rare combination of intelligence, common sense and human decency. Full of caring for others like her husband Steve. When our daughter Hanna went to Syracuse University, Linda and Steve welcomed her as a member of their family. Over the next 4 years, Gail and I considered them a member of our family. Rare people with hearts of gold. Rest in peace wonderful Linda. You were an angel on earth and sure to be an Angel in Heaven.
