Lois I. Tann

Lois was born in Puerto Cortez, Honduras to Edward Gabb and Julia (Croasdaile) Gabb on June 15, 1935.

She went to St. Hilda’s College in Oxford, Cambridge, England, and Syracuse University. She married Robert (Bob) Lester Tann on Friday, April 13, 1963 in New York City, NY. Lois was a Fixed Income Specialist for Securities Corporation of Iowa (SCI) until retirement in 1997. She enjoyed cooking, laughing and spending time with her children.

Lois loved attending Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Houston, TX and was a founding member of the Daughter of the Kings.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband Bob Tann; her parents, Edward and Julia Gabb; brother Anthony (Tony) Gabb; sisters, Yvonne (Gabb) Koufos; June (Gabb) Lara and step-brother Trevor McFarland. She is survived by her daughters Addlin Tann (Cedar Rapids, IA), Jennifer Tann and Randy Sliger (Charleston, SC) and Dora Tann (Leesburg, VA) brother Carl Gabb (Blanca) of East Meadows, NY and sister Sidoni (Gabb) Rowand of Houston, TX plus, the many cousins in Guatemala and Honduras.

The family of Lois Tann wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Tirado and the Loudon County EMT service.

Funeral services will be held in April 2023 at her church in Houston, TX with Father Lance, officiating. Burial will follow in June 2023 at Grandview Cemetery in Fayette, IA.

Arrangements are by National Funeral Home, Falls Church, VA.
