

Luciano M atienza was born Agoncillo, Batangas, Philippines to (Nicanor and Leonila Atienza (both deceased) on November 1, 1925. He went to school at Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. He married Tortillana S Atienza (deceased) on May 2, 1951 in Agoncillo, Batangas, Philippines. He remarried Amparo Atienza in 2008. He graduated from Far Eastern University with a Bachelor of Science, major in Accounting degree. He was a certified public accountant.
He worked as a worked as an accountant in United States Veterans affairs in Manila Office, as Financial Officer in United Nations Development Programme in Manila and as Bookkeeper in Washington DC BAR where he retired in 1991.
He was involved in the establishment of Sto. Nino Parish Church as Treasurer of Bago Bantay Catholic Church. He served as Treasurer of the following:
· Bago Bantay Elementary School Parents-Teacher Association
· Holy Name Society
· Knights of Columbus
He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Miguel P Nuguid Council 6632 in Bago Bantay, Quezon City, Philippines. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Luciano is survived by wife - Amparo, Children– Josie (Buddy), Larry (Violy), Daisy (Bong), Pol (Cora), Sally, Ehmie (Ronnie), Louie (Marylou), Boni (Josie), Emil (Hyeyon). Brother and Sisters – Juling de Sagun, Ligaya de Sagun, Amparo Malabanan and Ed Atienza. 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the National Funeral Home, located at 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, on December 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on December 11, 2025 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd, Falls Church, Va., with Fr. Zinjin Iglesias, officiating. Burial will follow at National Funeral and Memorial Park. Arrangements are by National Funeral Home.
The committal service will follow at the National Memorial Park, located at 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042, on December 11, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
The family would like to invite guests to join them for a reception following the service at National Funeral Home.
