Marsha E. Weisberg passed away peacefully on January 24, 2004 at Vierra Falls Church Health and Rehab in McLean VA after a brief illness. She was 81 years old. Born in Troy, NY on August 30, 1942 to Saul Weisberg and Hannah Miller. Marsha went to Troy High School and then graduated from Albany Business College in 1963 as a medical secretary. While attending college, she worked part-time as a secretary for a rabbi in Albany, New York and later as a medical secretary in the Veteran's Administration Hospital. After graduation she came to Washington, D. C. and accepted a temporary job in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense in which she worked three months and in September 1963, she accepted a permanent position in the Department of Defense at the Pentagon and worked there until her retirement.
Marsha enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins/Commanders football team and listening to Toby Keith. While living in the City of Alexandria for over 50 years, she became a friend to anyone she met and would always be there during a time of need. If it was your birthday, you could always expect Marsha to remember. In addition to loving her cats, Marsha’s generosity was shown by her extensive collection of everything relating to cats she received from friends and family over the years.
Surviving are her sister, Judith (Weisberg) Rosenblum and her husband Robert, of Florence MA, and her nieces and nephews (Sheri Rosenblum, Jeffrey Rosenblum and Alan Rosenblum).
A private service will be held in the spring as we bring Marsha to join her parents in Troy, NY.
