Mary Kay Sullivan

Mary Kay Sullivan Of Herndon, Virginia. Beloved wife of Patrick G. Sullivan, Jr.; loving mother of Julia C. Sullivan; died December 5, 2014, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC. She fought a courageous battle against the melanoma that ultimately claimed her life. Born in the same Georgetown University Hospital on July 31, 1953 to Faith Zavilla and the late Edward Zavilla, she lived in the Washington DC area most of her life except for several childhood years in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was a graduate of Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School, of the College of William and Mary, and of the George Washington University. Besides her husband and daughter, she is survived by her mother, sister, brother, two nephews, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church VA 22046 from 3 to 7 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on December 15, 2014, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA 20170. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax VA, 22030.
