Mr. Mohammad Sharifi was born on October 19, 1929, to the union of Safia Sharifi and Ali Sharifi in the small town of Shadegan, Iran. Mohammad did not believe in the idea of can’t, and had a remarkably positive attitude toward life.
At the age of 19, Mohammad married the love of his life, and became the primary provider for his wife, mother and father after taking a job with the National Iranian Oil Company. At the National Oil Company, he led a thirty five-year career and went on to become a senior project manager.
He fell in love with the United States after a visit in 1977. During the next 13 years, he worked tirelessly to bring all of his children and grandchildren to this country, eventually succeeding in 1990.
Mohammad had a passion for helping the less fortunate and those who were in need. He also took great joy in traveling the world, reading, taking long walks and watching Western movies. Above all, he loved his family, and devoted his life to making a better life for them – in which he succeeded.
Mohammed is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Taji; six children, Jasem, Hashem, Ghassem, Nejat, Farah and Soheyla; and ten grandchildren, Hossein, Sheila, Christopher, Pooya, Sasha, Joshua, Bobak, Nadia, Daniel and Arman.
He will be loved and missed by all.
