Nhon Huu Pham

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nhon Huu Pham, on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the age of 90. Mr. Nhon passed away peacefully in Haymarket, Virginia, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Mr. Nhon was a Brigadier General of the ARVN - Army Republic of Vietnam. He was a 1963 graduate of the US Army Command & General Staff College and a 1973 graduate of the Republic of Vietnam National Defense College. General Nhon was G7 Chief, JGS (Joint General Staff) of the ARVN from 1964 to 1975.

He was the devoted husband of Tich Thi Nguyen for sixty-two years; loving father of Minh & Tuong-Van Pham, Anh & Nghiem Minh Ngo Nguyen and Nguyet & Phong Nguyen; grandfather of Minh Tuan, Chi-Lan, Van-Thanh, and Minh Quang Pham, Albert Minh Tue Pham, Phi Duc and Tam Anh Nguyen. He is also survived by brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and relatives.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family at the National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia, in the Chapel Room on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 2 to 8 PM.

The funeral service is to be conducted at 11 AM on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the Chapel Room.

The interment will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of customary remembrance, contributions may be made to the Vietnamese American Mahasi Meditation Center (VAMMC)
