Norma Armstrong was welcomed into heaven by her loved ones and our Heavenly Father on February 3, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born August 22, 1930, in Washington, D.C., she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was defined by compassion, humor, and devotion to her family.
Norma had a gift for nurturing both people and plants. An avid gardener with a true green thumb, she found joy in tending her garden and took equal pride in her kitchen, where her baking and cooking brought comfort and happiness to all who gathered around her table. One of her greatest joys in life was spoiling her grandchildren, offering them not only treats and warmth, but also wisdom, heartfelt advice, and unwavering love. She will be fondly remembered for her sharp sense of humor, kind spirit, and the gentle compassion she showed to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dr. Carl O. Christensen and Kristina E. Christensen; her brothers, Carl Christensen and Kenneth Christensen; her sister, Lillian Anthony; her son, Richard McClain; and her husbands, David McClain Sr., Jack Anthony, and William Armstrong “Skip”.
Norma is survived by her son, David McClain; her granddaughter, Rochelle McClain; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Tiffany Cash, Carter Cash, and Lindsey Jennings, all of whom will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.
Norma Armstrong’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, family, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives she touched.
