

Born on April 14, 1968, Paul grew up in Loudoun County. From a young age, Paul enjoyed computers, the IT field, and went on to start his own business. He is a recent established author with books titled: The AI Revolution: How Emerging Artificial Intelligence Technologies Will Transform Small Businesses and Become A Retail IT Technician in 30 Days. Paul enjoyed learning, teaching others what he knew to be true, and could respectfully disagree. In his younger days Paul much enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was extraordinarily talented and musically inclined. Paul sang and played several instruments to include the drums, piano, and trumpet. Most of all Paul enjoyed spending time with his family on beach trips, at South Fork in Milam, West Virginia, and at Grey Goose on Norris Lake in Tennessee. Paul was an avid Steelers fan with extreme influence from the late Andrew “Uncle Reddie” Lorinchak.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Alba, son Ethan Burgess, daughter Rachel Burgess, mother Rhea Tantlinger, Sharps Chapel, TN, sister Pamela Berens (Kevin), Crossville, TN, brother Daniel Burgess (Tara), Valdosta, GA, nephews Benjamin Lara, Winchester, VA, and Quinn Burgess, Valdosta, GA, nieces Sophie Lara, Purcellville, VA, and Madilynn Burgess, Valdosta, GA, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Ivan A. Burgess, his stepfather Chuck “Homie” Tantlinger, and uncles Eston Burgess, Gene Burgess, and Alva “Junior” Burgess.
The family will receive visitors at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W Broad Street in Falls Church on Monday December 22 between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm. Following cremation, Paul’s ashes will be scattered at a later time in the Haystack Hunting area in Milam, WV.
