Robert Michael Connors

Robert Michael Connors, 82, beloved uncle, great uncle and friend, born Sunday, March 15, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Robert & Anna Connors; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 in Vienna, Virginia. Robert or “Bob” by his family and friends has been a resident of Vienna for over fourteen years; originally from his home state of New York, Robert first left New York to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. Upon his return Robert worked as a Director in the New York Park & Recreations for 25 years before his retirement. Robert enjoyed many things in his free time such watching sporting event such as football and baseball; what he truly loved more than anything were the times he shared his family and friends who he loved so dearly. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved parents Robert & Anna Connors and his loving sister, Margaret Lundrigan. Robert is survived by his dearly loved niece and nephew, Marianne McKeon & husband Kevin and William Lundrigan; his beloved great nephew and great niece LCpl Michael McKeon and Molly McKeon and numerous other family members and friends. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 9:00am to 10:00am with the funeral service following at 10:00am at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street; Falls Church, Virginia 22046. A graveside service will follow at 11:30am at Fairfax Memorial Park, 4401 Burke Station Road; Fairfax, Virginia.
