Robert (Bob) H. Schwarzmann (95) passed away peacefully at home in McLean, VA, on August 4. Bob was born February 11, 1929, to Robert H and Olive Schwarzmann in Washington, DC. He was raised in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area, graduating from Western High School in Washington, DC. He spent a short time in the U.S. Navy. He met his bride, Leona M. Dolphin in Iowa. After her service in the Navy they were married June 19, 1954, at St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church, VA. Bob and Leona founded A & R Tool and Equipment Rental in the spring of 1959. Bob and Leona were respected business owners and with the help of their devoted children expanded the successful family business to 3 locations in Northern Virginia. After 63 years of marriage, Leona preceded Bob in death in 2017. He is survived by his daughter Robyn (Ron) McIninch, sons Bryce A. and Perry R. Schwarzmann, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Murphy Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA, on Monday, August 12 from 12:00 to 1:30pm followed by burial in St. James Cemetery at 2 pm.
