Sathyna is survived by his Wife, Touch Chea Ell; and children, Jennifer & Jason Ell
Sathyna was born on October 16th, 1965 in Phnom Penn, Cambodia. He immigrated to America as a refugee at the young age of 14 due to the Khmer Rouge War. He graduated from Wakefield High School, afterwards he married Touch Chea Ell, his high school sweetheart. Sathyna Ell began working for the Patented Trademark Office for 15 years and Information International Associates for 5+ years . Over 30 years, the couple welcomed 2 children into their home; Jennifer and Jason Ell. He set about teaching them the meaning of kindness, hard-work and family values. His children remember their Dad as dedicated and extremely hardworking. He was a father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He was a generous individual who loved his family. He was passionate about bettering the lives of Cambodian children through education. It is his hope that the Cambodian children are able to receive educational opportunities that were taken away from him during the be Khmer Rouge war. He will be dearly missed, but is very much loved by his entire family, friends and co-workers.
In lieu of funeral donations we ask that people donate money towards to "Dong Elementary School" located in Takeo, Cambodia (his wife's home village). Sathyna Ell always believed in the power of education. Unfortunately, because of the be Khmer Rouge war; he was never able to receive a proper elementary school education. Decades later, during his visits back to Cambodia his mission was to ensure the young children at Dong Elementary School had educational opportunities he missed. All proceeds will go towards food, school supplies, etc... This is a charity close to his heart and something he would like to continue beyond the grave.
Donations will be accepted in person via cash or check (written out to the Ell Family). Donations via credit card, Venmo or Paypal can also be made online or text "SathynaEll" (202) 858-1233
