Steven Torres Leitao

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the sudden loss of a beloved young man. Steven was a gentle soul of warmth and kindness, known for his love of his daughter and his devotion to his family, both near and far. He celebrated his Portuguese heritage with pride and shared his vibrant spirit with all who knew him. His loss saddens family and friends in the United States and Portugal, who will forever remember his gentle nature and the light he brought into their lives.

Steven, son of Juja Sylvestre and the late Mario Leitao, was born on November 30, 1985, in Fairfax County, Virginia. He is survived by his beautiful, nine-year-old daughter, Abigail; brothers, Jimmy Leitao (Natalie), Kenny Leitao, both of Westminster, MD, and Edward Sylvestre (Melanie) of Luxemborg; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock on Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. James Catholic Church, 905 Park Ave. Falls Church, VA. He will be laid to rest following the funeral service at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy. Falls Church, VA. The family will hold a reception to receive guests following the committal service at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Hwy. Falls, Church, VA.
