I, Satwender, was a friend from college days.
Don't know if Sunil ever mentioned it to you.
For many years there was no news of Sunil and did not know why?
While in US, trying to learn about Sunil, came across this tragic news.
Indeed, it must have been a very bad day to be suddenly without parents.
May God rest their souls in peace.
Sunil was a mentor for me & I owe a great deal to him of my growing years.
Shall remember him forever.

Dearest Nishi Masi,  I miss you so much, your calls, voice, concern, love, everything about you Masi... 

My darling Masi, it's a month today since you & uncle left us. All of us miss both of ypu. We only wish you both peace, happiness, good health.


Nishi Khanna 13 July 1956 - 10 Dec 2021, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Dearest Nishi Masi, you were the youngest amongst the three sisters and we're pampered by the whole family.
There would be excitement in the air and preparations would start at home knowing your coming.
Masi you were Maa's strength & bestfriend. 
I am thankful to God for blessing me with the two most loveliest Masi's who were my Mom, friend, confidant, support, Naniji to the grandchildren.
Every evening we wait for the phone to ring in the hope you are on the other side.
I wish we weren't so far, I wish we could meet more often (we last met in 2010 dec), video calls lessened the distance a bit but now we are only left with your memories.
I wish I could hug you.

In Sunil and Nishi we lost our best friends and travel buddies.  With his jokes and great sense of humor, traveling was fun.  Nishi always had a great smile and was a very pleasant personality.  We enjoyed going on walks with them in the park and, of course, at parties.  Sunil and Nishi always found games for parties.  I remember for my 50th birthday, Nishi had come up with a game.  Sunil had a musical game at our last party after COVID restrictions were relaxed.  May their souls rest in eternal peace.   

Will miss you Chacha & Chachi! Two of my favorite people in the world.

Dear Nishi and Sunil,

Life will not be the same without you two.  You were always there in good times and not so good times.  Lost two members of our Parivar and our vacation buddies in one day. We will cherish the loving memories of all the vacations we took together  and time we spent together in past 30 years.

Nishi, I miss your morning calls!  Lots of love to both of you

The time was difficult for the family but your presence made the difference. 


Nishi, being only 6 months younger than me, was my partner in crime in a lot of our antics while growing up. She was a core presence in my childhood and continued to give me that warmth in adulthood too. She is leaving behind golden memories and a legacy that will remind us all of a kind, caring and loving daughter, sister and mother. I will miss her a lot.
