Willie “Bill” Mullins, 78 of Ft. Lauderdale passed away June 7, 2015; born September 7, 1936, to the late Max and Lola Mullins of Charleston, West Virginia. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during his time of service. He was a Market Director for the Southern Pacific and Rio Grande Railroads and was a founding member of American Veterans for Equal Rights, a member of Dignity G.L.B.T. Catholics, and Dolphin Democrats.
He is survived by Dick Rogers, his lifetime partner of 52 years, sisters Diana Freeland and Dorothy Tabak of Clearwater, FL. The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St, Falls Church, Va. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00am at Murphy Funeral Home, Falls Church with interment to follow at National Memorial Park.
