

Yung lived a large portion of her life in South Korea, and then moved permanently to the United States in March of 1988. Thereafter, Yung, along with her husband, Wook Y. Hwang, ran a successful retail business in Fayetteville, North Carolina for over 20 years before moving to the Northern Virginia area.
In addition to raising her two sons, In Chul and In Joon, she was an avid gardener, growing a wide variety of fruits and vegetable. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and particularly hosting and entertaining family and friends. Yung also enjoyed an active lifestyle through walking and exercising on a daily basis. She also loved to travel – both domestically and internationally (particularly back home to South Korea). Yung will be most remembered for her kindness, grace, intellect, and self-effacing demeanor.
Yung is survived by her husband, Wook, her two sons, In Chul and In Joon, and two grandsons Alexander and Aiden. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends in the United States and in South Korea.
Yung requested a private funeral. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Yung during her illness. Donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
