Zachary Sallaway Schneier, 21, passed away November 22, 2017. Our precious, brilliant, creative, funny, passionate, handsome son, who struggled with depression and anxiety, has hopefully found peace. Zachary leaves behind his parents, Jan Schneier and Caroline Sallaway, and his younger siblings: sister Jordan and brother Noah. He has an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly who will deeply miss him. He was also lucky to have an amazing group of loving and supportive lifetime friends. He had a wonderful adventurous, artistic, fun, and loving side. He was an electrical and computer engineering student at VCU in Richmond, Va., played guitar, loved the outdoors, history, reading, and creating art. He should have been a member of the debate club because he could cleverly argue just about any topic, especially politics.
A memorial gathering will be held at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, Virginia 22042, on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by a Life Celebration Service at 11:00 am. Zachary will be laid to rest following the services at National Memorial Park.
