Arlene S. Esposito Gonzalez

Arlene S. Esposito Gonzalez, 76, of Farmingdale, New York, passed peacefully on April 15, 2026. Born on October 11, 1949, to the late William P. and Josephine Esposito, Arlene was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Josephine Ortiz (Cecilio Ortiz), and her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Ortiz and Jordan Ortiz. Arlene’s family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Arlene was also deeply passionate about her pets, especially her beloved dogs, Cookie and Pickle, and had a fondness for reptiles, which brought her immense joy.

A proud teacher, Arlene dedicated much of her life to nurturing young minds at the Advent Day Care Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her love for teaching was evident in her tireless commitment to her students, and she found fulfillment in continually learning and sharing her knowledge. Outside of her career, Arlene was an avid reader, always seeking new information and striving to better understand the world around her.

Arlene's family and friends will remember her for her warm heart and her ability to make everyone feel at ease in her presence. Her kindness and unwavering love for those she cared about will be greatly missed.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Arthur F. White Funeral Home. The family invites all who knew Arlene to gather for a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Kilian Parish, Farmingdale, New York. Following the Mass, Arlene's ashes will be interred alongside her late parents at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Arlene’s memory to the Little Shelter Animal League and Adoption Center in Huntington, New York, a cause that was very near and dear to her heart.
