
Carol Duncan, born on July 3, 1938, passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 87. A longtime resident of Massapequa, New York, Carol was known for her unwavering dedication, remarkable versatility, deep religious faith, and steadfast commitment to her family and community.
For 25 years, Carol worked as a custodian at P.S. 135 in Queens. A true jack of all trades, she approached every task with skill and determination, often surpassing her male counterparts. Her strong faith was central to her life; she attended church regularly with her husband and remained an active member of the school PTA.
Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage and 68 years of love—an unbreakable devotion that continued long after his passing. She is survived by her children Eddie, Steven (Kim), and Elysee (Tom). She was predeceased by her grandson Eddie and is survived by her brother, Robert Reilly, and sister-in-law, Gail Reilly.
A woman of many interests, Carol loved Hallmark movies and enjoyed crafting, from dressing stuffed bears to creating wedding favors. She took pleasure in completing crossword puzzles with her family, visiting the casino, and reading—often finishing an entire book in a single day. Creative and energetic, she even painted her own home.
Visitation will be held at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735, on December 9, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Carol’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, dedication, and creativity will continue to inspire those she leaves behind
