

Olarnick, Daniel, 80, of Manhattan, passed away January 10, 2024. Devoted “knight in shining armor” for more than 35 years to his cherished wife Terry-Ann Volberg. Always up for a good debate, Dan just used his intellect and words of wisdom to stand for what he believed was right. Dan is a retired Official Court Reporter for the Supreme Court of the State of New York who was admired and respected by his colleagues and peers in New York and nationally. Dan was a competitive No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament poker player who authored the book “The Prometheus Stratagem.” He and Terry-Ann enjoyed many happy adventures together, traveling the world, playing poker, and providing Terry-Ann with wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Dan was avid reader and loved to write science fiction stories. Dan leaves behind a large extended family each of whom will remember him with love and affection. In addition to his beloved wife Terry-Ann, Dan is survived by his dear brother Keith, his wife Adrienne, and their children Elissa Campanella (Anthony), Sabrina Giarraffa (Joseph), Jessica D’Amato (Anthony), his mother-in-law Angela Volberg, and in-laws Peter Volberg, III (Karen), Thomas Volberg (Diane), Ann-Marie Mediavilla (Michael) and Madlyn Singer (John). Uncle “Huggie” Danny is loved by his nieces and nephews Elissa (Anthony), Thomas (Colleen), Christopher (Frances), Olivia, Julia, Anna Paige, Pilar, Ava, Rebecca and Elizabeth, in addition to his great-nieces and nephews Anthony, Brianna, Violet, Joseph, Luke, Emilia, Eloise and Madeline. We Love You Forever, Dan”O”. The family will receive visitors Friday, January 12th, 3-8 p.m. at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage, New York. Religious services to be held on Friday, January 12th at 3:00 at the funeral home. A private burial will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, St. Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale.
