Mulcahy, John J., Sr., of Bethpage passed away at home on September 13, 2024 at the age of 87. John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Ann P. (O’Connell) Mulcahy and his son John Jr. Our dad lived a long full life and he valued friends and family above all. John is survived by his daughter Patti Ann (Tom) & son Michael (Lisa). John leaves the legacy of grandchildren Andrew, Alex & Isaac Mulcahy as well as Gabrielle Tarantino, Brianna Johnson (Eric) and Jenna Tarantino. John was also able to see his great grandbabies Dax and Skyla Johnson. John built a career of more than 50 years at the New York Daily News. Served in Korea as a Private First Class for two years in the United States Army. He will be missed dearly but we celebrate his reunion with his loved ones who have gone before him to the life everlasting. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 17th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Broadway, Bethpage. Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 18th, 10 am at St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
