Son of the Reverend Ralph M. Parsons and Margaret Bailey Parsons lovingly entered the arms of his God and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, 2/19/2022, just two days before his 71st birthday at Raleigh General Hospital, after a very brief affliction with an aggressive Leukemia. The Parsons family are forever grateful for his caregivers, nurses and doctors, but especially Penny Milam, of Fayetteville, W.V., with whom we will forever be indebted to.
He was predeceased by both his parents and by Charlotte Parsons Garrett, his biological mother, his brothers William (a/k/a Sonny) Parsons, Arnold (a/k/a Pete) Parsons, Ralph (Kathy) Parsons and Larry (Joan) Parsons. Charlie had two “second dads” whom he cherished and whom he provided elder care to: John Salemi of Centerbrook, CT; and Robert Sayles of Branford, CT. Both predeceased him and they are among a long list of others waiting for him in Heaven.
He is survived by six grandchildren: Samantha Lynn Parsons and Charles Victor Parsons, both of Deland, Florida; Dylan James Dolceacqua of Wallingford, CT; Makenzie Grace Petrillo of Northford, CT; and Ian Parsons and Aiden Parsons of Katy, TX.
