

Born on April 5th, 1937 in a family home in Fayetteville, West Virginia. He was the son of the late Robert Yarber and Phyllis (O’Neal) Yarber.
Don was a coal miner most of his life and got a lot of joy out of telling all the family stories from his times spent underground with all his friends. He was a proud Husband, Father, Grandfather and great Grandfather. Don got a lot of joy out of telling jokes and stories of events in his life to all he loved. Don loved to raise a garden every year and raise farm animals. He will be missed by everyone that knew him, he was a very kind and gentle soul.
Left with cherished memories of him are his wife of 65 years Charlotte (Dixon) Yarber and their children and grandchildren: Cindy Turner (Daughter), Craig Yarber (Son), John Yarber (Son), Diana Yarber (Daughter); Donald Yarber 3rd (Grandson), Ian Yarber (Grandson), Shannon Blackburn (Granddaughter), Brian Yarber (Grandson), Chris Yarber (Grandson), Shane Yarber (Grandson), Cody Conway (Grandson), Brack Morgan (Grandson), Casey Morgan (Grandson), Zeth Yarber (Grandson), Steve Yarber Jr, (Grandson), Anna Yarber (Granddaughter), Wesley Yarber (Grandson), and Elijah Yarber (Grandson); and his brothers and sisters: Vincent Yarber (Brother), Wayne Yarber (Brother), Wheeler Yarber (Brother), Shirley Jones (Sister), Linda Yarber (Sister), Jeanie Arbogast (Sister), and Barbie Yarber (Sister).
He is preceded in death by: Robert Yarber (Father), Phyllis Yarber (Mother), Bobby Yarber (Brother), Donald L Yarber Jr (Son), Steve Yarber (Son), and Dennis Yarber (Son).
Funeral Services will be at the Oak Hill Gospel Tabernacle at 12 PM Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 with Pastor Charlie Schmuck officiating. Burial will be directly after at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at 11 AM at the church.
