On August 29, 2016, Grace Bare Rogers of Edmond went to be with her Savior following a short illness. For most of her almost 103 years, Grace generously gave of herself to her family, friends, and church. Generations of children and adults remember her as their favorite Sunday school teacher and as someone who always gave without asking anything in return. She is also survived by her ten children: Joyce Fitch of Heathsville, VA; Lou Lester (and husband Chuck) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; Jim Rogers of San Angelo, TX; John Rogers of Bayfield, CO; Linda Goff of Cross Lanes, WV; Jane Stratton of Charleston, WV; Peggy McCarty (her primary care-giver) of Edmond; Sandra Kesler of Los Angeles, CA; Daniel Rogers of Dunn, NC; and Lana Hypes of Daniels, WV. Grace is also survived by her nineteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Dr. Charles Lester officiating with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Ansted.
