Born on June 23, 1955 in Whippany, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank Cebello.
Joanne graduated from Whippany Park High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Concord University. She had worked in the accounting department at Plateau Medical Center. Joanne loved music by the campfire on the river bank, making big Sunday afternoon dinners, and she loved her dogs.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Theodore Garfield Sorrell; brothers: John Cebello, Frank Cebello, and Andrew Cebello; and step-children: Anita Wendell, Amy Lanham, and Josh Sorrell.
She will be cremated.
