
LYLE M. MILLER SR. FAYETTEVILLE, WV – Lyle M. Miller, Sr., 89 of Fayetteville passed away November 13, 2014. Born on April 3, 1925 at Fayetteville, he was the son of the late William Franklin and Nancy Jane Bailes Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of First Church of God, Fayetteville. He served in the US Army during World War II in the European Theater. For 35 years he worked as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife, Lilly Miller; five children: Lyle Miller Jr. (Sherry), Kathrin Hanson (Bob), Thomas Miller) Evona; John Miller (Lisa), and Charles Miller (Tamara); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Contributions may be made in his honor to the First Church of God, 114 Harvey Street, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, November 17, 2014 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Danny Goins and Rev. Mike Parsons officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home on Monday.
