

MICHAEL LEONARD TOMILIN FAYETTEVILLE – Michael Leonard Tomlin, 61, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, September 08, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley with his family by his side. Born on October 1, 1952 at Fayetteville, he was the son of Geraldine Craft Tomlin of Fayetteville and the late Leonard Arnold Tomlin. Michael served his country in the US Army National Guard for 6 years. He was a strip miner for 9 years. Before he became disabled, he was owner/operator of his trucking company Tomlin Enterprises for 18 years. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arnold and Goldie Woolwine Tomlin; maternal grandparents, Henry and Myrtle Shieler Craft; brother, Roger Tomlin; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Liz) Tomlin. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 39 years, Sherry Perry Tomlin; son, Brandon Michael (Valarie) Tomlin of Coal City; daughter, Bridget Lynn Tomlin of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Bridget Manalee Tomlin of Coal City; mother, Geraldine Craft Tomlin of Fayetteville; two brothers, Eddie (Terry) of Fayetteville and David Tomlin of Oak Hill; two sisters, Judy (John) Johnson of Rockport, IN, and Tana (Lonnie) Morris of Prosperity; and sister-in-law, Libby Tomlin of Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Danny Sears officiating. Burial will follow at the Woolwine-Tomlin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 -2 PM Friday at the funeral home.
