Julius Nelson Lewis

Julius was born on September 03, 1927 in Riverdale, California. He moved from Bakersfield, California and became a resident of Ventura County for 42 years. He was mechanic for 33 years.

He was very involved in the church (Fillmore Assembly of God), he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sports, outdoor activities and working as a handyman.

Julius Lewis was preceded in death by his spouses: Inez Lewis, Dorris Lewis, father Oscar Lewis, mother Vera Lewis.

He was survived by his children: Jerry Lewis of Poteau OK, Timothy Lewis Fillmore, CA, Marilyn Ponce Fillmore, CA, Regina Lewis, spouse of Jerry, Anel Lewis spouse of Timothy and John Ponce spouse of Marilyn. Grandchildren: Avery Lewis, Edward Lewis, Step Grandchildren: Oscar Vides, Samantha Vides, Sebastian Vides and Cesar Vides.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 4-8pm at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary 600 N. Central Ave. Fillmore, CA 93015. Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at 11am Skillin-Carroll Mortuary 600 N. Central Ave. Fillmore, CA. Officiant Reverend Marvin Kilgore, Bakersfield, CA. Following the funeral service there will be a gravesite memorial at Bardsdale Cemetery then lunch at Fillmore Assembly of God.
