Born on December 1, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Anthony was the son of Frank and Marie (Nicholetti) Fazio. Growing up in Brooklyn, he and his family moved to West Hempstead when he was thirteen. He graduated from West Hempstead High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. Anthony was a member of Company A, 708th Ordnance Battalion, where he held the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. Following his honorable discharge in 1962, he continued his service to the nation by working as a machinist for the United States Military.
A man of steadfast values and quiet devotion, Anthony found his greatest joy in his family. He cherished spending time with his beloved wife, children, and especially his treasured granddaughter, Merisa Riley, who was the light of his life. He enjoyed simple pleasures—watching classic westerns, target shooting, fishing, and sharing Saturday evening dinners out with his wife.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann Fazio, whom he married on January 11, 1964; his daughter, Michele (John) Thompson of Palm Coast; his son, Michael (Deanna) Fazio of Waynesville, North Carolina; and his adored granddaughter, Merisa Riley Thompson.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Fazio.
