

Audrey Ann Staada Sachs passed away peacefully at her home on March 4, 2026. She was 92. Audrey was born to Ada and John Staada in Paterson, New Jersey, the only child of only children. She grew up in a tight knit family with her parents and grandparents, Emma and John Staada. She graduated from Eastside High School and Katherine Gibbs in New York, working in New York until her marriage.
After marrying Kenneth Hans Sachs, she had four children, Deborah, Kenneth C., Bryan and Darren. She taught Sunday School, was a leader for the “78ers” and was Clerk of Session for the Pompton Valley Presbyterian Church in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a constant at her children’s activities, despite being diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. She and Ken were chaperones for the high school band trip to Bermuda.
After brief periods in Wayne and Jamesburg, New Jersey, she and Kenneth relocated to Ormond Beach, Florida in 2000. She enjoyed traveling, returning to Bermuda several times and yearly visited Marco Island, Florida. She also had a passion for embroidery and needlepoint, as well as “shelling” at the beach, her cats, pansies and chocolate.
Audrey is survived by her children, Debbie (Jim) Parolise, Kenneth (Julie) Sachs, and Bryan Sachs, her grandchildren, the joys of her life, Jeffrey and Jennifer Spaulding, Bryan and Justin Sachs, John, Kyle (Ashley), Christopher (Ara), and Jessica Sachs, and great-grandchildren, Maiyah Spaulding, Alana Hopper, Kacen Sachs, Noah Khadaroo, Lainey Sachs, Avery Sachs, and another baby Sachs on the way! She also is survived by her nephews and nieces, David (Lisa) Schauwecker, Lisa (Rob) Baumbach, Scott Sachs, and Keith (Eleanor) Sachs. Her dearest friend of 75 years, Joan McTyre of New York, survives her as well. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth and son Darren. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on March 28, 2026, at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136.
