Diane W. Guertin, 84, of Palm Coast passed away on December 24, 2018 at The Windsor of Palm Coast. She was born on November 21, 1934 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Samuel A. and Esther Willard (Briggs). Diane earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics from Connecticut College and her Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Cincinnati. She taught at Manchester High School in Connecticut and Stoneham High School in Massachusetts. Diane later worked for a couple of years at Barnes Engineering doing government contracting work. When her husband transferred she decided not to continue to work but volunteer her time at Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati and Corporate Angel Network (Angel Flight) in Connecticut. Once she and her husband finally retired and moved to sunny Florida she enjoyed spending her days developing her golf skills and playing bridge. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Tom Guertin; sister, Joanne Nesturk; sister-in-law, Sally Willard and many loving friends. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. A funeral Mass is to be announced in the near future. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
